Audience: Elementary school classmates and teachers of students who have Asperger Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder - Level 1.
INTRICATE MINDS II* features interviews with boys and girls age 8 through 12 who describe what it's like to have Asperger Syndrome. They reveal some of the positive qualities classmates will find if they look past the “different” behaviors that kids with AS sometimes exhibit in school. The program also takes viewers “inside Asperger Syndrome” with demonstrations to help them see things from the point of view of kids who have AS.
*Please note: Because many parents and teachers of children with conditions similar to Asperger Syndrome find the content of this program helpful, we produced another version of it called, INTRICATE MINDS III: Undertsanding Elementary School Classmates Who Think Differently. Much of the material in the programs is identital, but INTRICATE MINDS III has modified narration and additional interviews that make it applicable to a range of conditions including PDD-NOS, Semantic Pragmatic Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, and more. While schools often purchase both programs, parents usually only need one or the other.
